Dear IPA Affiliates:
The 2015 IPA International Congress in Berlin, 13-16 Octoberhas an excellent program. We ask your assistance in making sure all professionals learn about the program. IPA would greatly appreciate it if you would post information to your website as well as in your newsletter. With the theme, Balancing Cure with Care – Advances in Late Life Mental Health, this meeting will illustrate our undeniable obligation as mental health professionals to balance the race for the cure with the care for our patients and their families. Please see the attached flyers and distribute to your members as well as friends and colleagues.
In addition to the 3-day IPA Congress, IPA has three outstanding pre-meeting programs on Tuesday, 13 October – flyers are attached:
Imaging and Biomarkers Workshop– IPA’s popular neuroimaging workshop has been updated to include the latest technological advances. This program features interactive voting as a means to truly help you learn to differentiate the scans and other technology.
4th Long Term Care Colloquium – Cutting Edge Technologies in Care of Older People– The exciting world of social robots, assistive technologies and telehealth as well as the ethics associated with these practices will be discussed.

2nd International Conference on Capacity– IPA has long recognized capacity as an issue with clinical, ethical, medico-legal and human rights to all clinicians. Learn more about these complex issues in this fascinating program.
In addition to the excellent scientific program, IPA has scheduled site visits to care facilities (Friday, 16 October) to see how our colleagues in Germany provide care.
We ask you to share this information with all of your members and colleagues so we can ensure this program truly represents the global community of IPA and our Affiliate organizations.
Remember too… I will be sending information about the upcoming Presidents Forum very soon (meeting of the Affiliate presidents and IPA Board of Directors). Please mark your schedule now for Thursday, 15 October at Noon.
